The Virago became the V star a couple of years ago. I think it was because Virago means "Maiden Warrior" or "Pugnacious Woman".

I got a 96 Virago with 2600 miles on it from a woman who works in my building. I took it on a test ride and really liked it. so I've been taking turns with the Virago and the Savage (such warrior names parked in my garage, and I'm such a pussycat!) I still may sell the Savage, but haven't yet. It really does handle well in the city traffic where I spend so much of my time riding. The Virago though, the power blows you away! It feels like it glides down the road.

If my Savage looked like Barbara's I would definitely keep it. I talked with an older fellow in the grocery parking lot last night. He was eyeing the Savage, hadn't seen one before. He owns a 1937 Harley that he bought himself, new, in 1937 for $450 or so. Takes it to shows now, has about 160,000 miles on it. He said "now you take care of yours, and it will last like mine" Maybe I will.
